Standard Free Locker System by OSS

This customer extension adds locker functionality to the OSS components. In general, locks for lockers should have 3 different modes of operation.

The first mode is simply that anyone who has the rights to open the locker can do so. The locker is not reserved and the lock does not prevent the user from opening or occupying another locker. This is the standard OSS mode.

In the second mode of operation, the lock stores the number of the card that has occupied the locker and the time stamp of the occupation in its non-volatile memory and deletes this data when the locker is released. If someone else tries to open the locker, the lock will refuse to open. Nothing is stored on the card, so the same user can occupy another locker for his exclusive use.

In the third mode of operation, the locker would not only store the card’s ID in its internal non-volatile memory, but would also write its own lock ID and the timestamp of the occupation onto the card.

This card cannot open another locker with the same operating mode.

In this way we can achieve a one-to-one relationship between locker and user.

Whenever the duration of occupation is limited, the lock must know the maximum time of occupation.

This is done by using an additional field on the card that contains the maximum occupancy time.

If the occupancy is overdue, the lock will refuse to open.

A special master card is required to reopen the locker.
